Jay Albright
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Executive Director

Jay Albright brings over 30 years of local finance, management and non-profit experience to the Community Foundation.

Albright held the role of Executive Director at the Compassionate Healthcare Center in Rochester, has many years of experience with managerial and financial intuitions such as Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, Rochester Homes in Rochester and Wells Fargo Bank. He also has worked on large scale projects as well as assisting local people and providing services to meet their needs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and a master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan. He and his wife Dawn live and have raised two children in Rochester. Their son Adam is a 2003 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar, a prestigious scholarship managed by the Community Foundation through the Lilly Endowment.

Corinne Becknell Lucas
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Associate Director

Corinne began working with the Community Foundation in 2002 and has served as the Starke County Administrative Assistant and the NICF Program/Scholarship Coordinator. In 2016 Corinne became the NICF Associate Director and administers the grant processes for all three counties. Her focus is on tracking current needs within our communities as well as documenting the impact of our grantmaking. She has a background in music and media production.

Jessica Mikel
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Office Manager

Jessica joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation in July of 2011. She brings with her several years of administrative and database experience. Prior to joining the NICF team she was an Administrative Assistant at Ambassador Enterprises and served seven years as a Database Assistant in the Advancement Department at Grace College.

Alison Heyde
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Scholarship Coordinator

Alison started working with the NICF in 2012 and is in charge of administering the more than 130 scholarship funds within the three counties. Alison graduated from DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Rochester/Lake Manitou Chamber of Commerce for 13 years.

Jessica Martinovic
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Communications Specialist

Jessica was a 2011 Starke County Lilly Endowment Community Scholar, and served as Management Intern for the NICF until her graduation from Valparaiso University. As Communications Specialist, Jessica assists the Associate Director in the development and implementation of marketing plans, event coordination and intern managment.

Brian Johnson
Fulton County Community Foundation Director of Development

Brian joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, Inc. team in October of 2007. Prior to working for the Community Foundation, Brian was the Cylinder Head Department Supervisor at Gaerte Engines. He brings with him a strong background in customer service, and a lot of enthusiasm for Fulton County.

Connie Cutler
Miami County Community Foundation Director of Development

Connie joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, Inc. team in April of 2014. Cutler earned her degree from Purdue University, has experience in finance and as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech Community College. She has also served as Curator of the Peru Community Schools Fine Art Gallery and Arts Alive! developing and promoting arts programming.

Sarah Origer
Starke County Community Foundation Director of Development

Sarah joined the NICF team in December of 2011. She earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado, and held a fellowship with the John Jay Institute for Faith, Society, and Law. In 2008 Sarah worked at The Heritage Foundation, in Washington D.C. and as an admissions counselor at Saint Joseph’s College.
