As a public trust, the Community Foundation works to build endowed funds so they continue on forever—benefiting the causes that are important to our donors. It is the responsibility of each of the counties' board members to make sure that the investments are sound and on track.

Every board appoints members to serve on the Northern Indiana Community Foundation's finance committee. This committee meets on a regular basis to review the investments and ask questions of our financial advisors. Last year, the board made the decision to use the services of the financial consulting firm Fund Evaluation Group (FEG) which provides services to many community foundations throughout Indiana.
